皮質醇又稱為氫化可-的-松，是一種由膽固醇合成的類固醇激素。它是腎上腺皮質產生和分泌的主要糖皮質激素。皮質醇在血液中以游離皮質醇的形式存在，或與皮質類固醇結合球蛋白(CBG)結合。皮質醇水平在早上7點左右最高，晚上最-低。皮質醇可以調節新陳代謝、促進糖異生、肝糖原沉積和減少葡萄糖利用。皮質醇的產生與壓力呈正相關，導致血壓升高，并對免疫系統產生免疫抑制作用。
